Creamy Mushroom Broccoli

wholesome, gently-flavoured dish that’s perfect for toddlers 18 months and older. Fresh mushrooms and tender broccoli florets are cooked until soft and then simmered in warm milk to create a naturally creamy base. The milk adds protein and calcium, while the vegetables supply fibre, vitamins, and minerals.

Descriptions

This creamy mushroom broccoli is a warm, comforting, and nutrition-packed dish — made with fresh mushrooms, grated broccoli, paneer, and milk. It’s iron-rich, protein-filled, and perfectly soft-textured for toddlers and kids above 1 year. Serve it warm as a meal or pair with soft roti or toast soldiers.

Directions

Step 1
Prep the Ingredients Wash, slice mushrooms thinly. Grate the broccoli and crumble the paneer. Mince the garlic cloves.
Step 2
Sauté Aromatics Heat butter in a pan. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
Step 3
Cook the Veggies Add sliced mushrooms and cook until they release water and soften. Add grated broccoli and cook for 2–3 minutes until tender.
Step 4
Add the Flour Sprinkle 2 tbsp wheat flour over the cooked veggies. Mix well and cook for 1–2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.
Step 5
Pour Milk & Simmer Gradually add milk while stirring to avoid lumps. Let the mixture simmer and thicken into a creamy sauce.
Step 6
Add Paneer & Seasoning Add crumbled paneer, oregano, and salt (as per age). Mix everything well and cook for another 1–2 minutes.
Step 7
Serve Serve warm in a bowl or with breadsticks or roti rolls. Optionally, garnish with a little cheese for added flavor.

Note's

Use whole milk for creaminess and extra calories. For younger babies, blend slightly or mash before serving. Skip salt entirely for babies under 1 year. Use small mushroom pieces for easier chewing.
